I’ve had a beautiful image titled “Monument”, by Mr. Jerry Vanderstelt, here on my Home page for a few years now and I’ve always been very happy with it. I was looking through some Fantasy Art work on Pinterest a few weeks ago and came across an image that really caught my eye, so I thought I’d try to contact the artist to explore the possibility of my using it on my Home page to replace “Monument”. His name is Ruiheng Liu, and he’s from Wuhan, China. I found him through the Artstation.com web site and he was gracious enough to give me permission to use the image. He’s titled it “Magician”. The detail and quality of his work is just incredible. I’d like to thank him here again for allowing me to use it. If you click on his name at the bottom of the page it will take you to his info..
So Since the Gem Show I’ve been working on a few new pieces for my inventory. I’ve also made a few new picture frames. My last one was for a poster I had for The Golden Compass movie. We’ve had some awfully HOT days here in Arizona this summer. I was outside cutting up some metal for that frame on that 120 deg. day we had, and it was so hot the internal thermal motor overload shut my horizontal band saw off. I had to put an ice pack on the motor and direct a floor fan at it to allow me to get through the rest of my cuts. So an awful lot of sweat went into the making of that one.
Hope you’ll have a look through my site to see the new pieces I’ve made. And I hope you’ll like them. Feb. will be here soon enough and I’m sure I’ll have new pieces for the Gem Show. Hope you’ll come see me. Stay well. T.S.
