I’ve had this excellent Brazilian Kyanite specimen for quite some time, just waiting for the right opportunity to use it. When I found this beautiful figure I knew exactly where it would go. The colors of both the figure and the Kyanite were perfect for each other.
This figure was listed as a “Modern-day Mona Lisa”. Inspired by the work of renowned artist Dorian Cleavenger and sculpted by Plant-jzero Moekichi. Standing an impressive 10 1/2-inches tall (15-inches with her ornamental staff and themed base). Akira is constructed of more than 100 individual pieces and features over 400 paint applications… twice the conventional statue. As her soft, enigmatic features draw you in and take your breath away, you’ll know why she is likened to a modern-day Mona Lisa.
The base is a hand cut and finished slice of a hardwood, Corymbia Opaca, (or Bloodwood), from Australia, the bottom of which is covered with heavy felt to protect furniture.
