I’ve used another absolutely beautiful figure by Australian Artist Selina Fenech for this piece. Her attention to detail, as in the sculptures flowing hair and gown are just immaculate. And the paint details are second to none. The stone specimen behind her is Labradorite, from Madagascar. It’s got a wonderful blue-green-silver flash to it, depending on how light reflects off of it.
The base is a hand cut and finished slice of a Hardwood called Corymbia Opaca, or Bloodwood, also from Australia. The bottom is felted to protect furniture.
