Faery’s Wishing Well
This little Faery is another fantastic piece by Australian Artist Selina Fenech. I’ve added a specimen of Selenite, from Utah, to the back of this piece to create the effect of glacial meltwater flowing out of the Greenmans mouth and into the little pool. I’ve mounted a small, fine Pewter, green eyed Frog, by Perth Pewter opposite her, and a vase of flowers behind the Frog.
The blue glass vase is part of the Pewter Vine sculpture, created by noted Artist James Lane Casey. It can be used to hold perfume, scented oil, or small flowers/plants. It’s accented with a number of faceted lead glass points.
This piece also contains a small LED, battery operated, light beneath the pool. With the light on, in a darkened room, it is fabulous. A few of my pictures show this effect.
The base is of a hand cut and finished slice of a Hardwood, Corymbia Opaca, (Bloodwood), also from Australia, the bottom of which is felted to protect furniture.
