My Place of Solitude
After her long day at work this beautiful little lady goes to her place of refuge and solitude. Here she’s greeted by all her friends and can finally relax for the day. I’ve used a deep purple specimen of Amethyst, from Uruguay, for the backdrop. I don’t know who made the main figure, but it’s of a material called Polystone and is hand painted to a degree unmatched by any of my other pieces. The incredible detail executed in the painting of this piece takes a special person to accomplish. The details are astounding, right down to her eye makeup, the string of pearls she holds in her right hand, and the little Faery sitting on her left arm. The other small figures are of the same material and are from “Top Collection”. The base is a hand cut and finished slice of a hardwood called Corymbia Opaca, or Bloodwood, from Australia, the bottom of which is covered with heavy felt to protect furniture.
