Rose

As Rose is on her journey, she comes across a pedestal and urn filled with her namesake flowers. She stops to admire their beauty, and the softness of their petals. She would like to spend more time in this beautiful place, but duty calls. Perhaps she will return one day.
This excellent figure is by Veronese. I’ve added her Standard/flag to her staff. This is of Pewter and was a piece from The Tudor Mint. I then made the pedestal and urn from various other pieces, and added some miniature roses. She stands on a slice of Brazilian Agate, and the Obelisk behind her is of red, smelted glass, from China. The hand cut and finished hardwood base is of Corymbia Opaca, (Bloodwood), from Australia, and the bottom is felted to protect furniture.
