The Red Beacon

For this piece I’ve used a white marble slab on which I placed a nice, fluted, resin Pillar. I drilled through its center and inserted a small, red, LED light, powered by a replaceable button battery. This light illuminates a beautiful Brazilian Quartz Crystal which I mounted at the top of the pillar. The Fine Pewter Wizard figure, offering up a Swarovsky, faceted, lead glass sphere, is by Perth Pewter. The base is of a hand cut and finished slice of a hardwood called Corymbia Opaca, or “Bloodwood”, from Australia. The bottom is covered with felt to protect furniture.
