The White Pyramid

This fine Pewter figure, by Ray Lamb, I believe is one of his finest works. It was produced by Medieval Productions. The quality of the sculpting and reproduction are second to none, right down to the stone in the ring on his finger, the details in his face, beard, and clothing, to the lead glass that tips his staff.

The base is of white Marble, as are the steps. I’ve added some small white glass spheres, which have a pearly flash to them, at the top and bottom of the stairs and at the rear of the Pyramid. The Pyramid itself is of Opal Glass, under which I’ve installed a red laser diode. When lit, it shines a little red beam up through the Pyramid and lights up its very point creating a stunning effect. I’ve mounted the Pyramid on a flat, heavy Brass base which sits on a highly detailed resin pedestal. The laser is powered by a 3vdc power supply.

I have many hours in the making of this piece, but I’m very happy with the results.
The base is of a slice of a Hardwood called Corymbia Opaca, or Bloodwood, from Australia, which I hand cut and finished. The bottom is felted to protect furniture.
