My Turn

July 30, 2023 by Tom

We all have accidents in our lives. Whether it may be a slip and fall, a bicycle crash, a sports injury, or some other awful incident.
My turn came at the end of April. While sitting in my car, waiting for the traffic light to change, I was “T”boned in my drivers side door by another car traveling at highway speed.
I was broken up pretty badly, but wasn’t killed.  I’ve spent many months recovering, and while still not 100%, I’ve been able to get back to making some new pieces for the Tucson 2024 Gem Show. Continue reading

My New Year Begins

March 1, 2023 by Tom

Now that the 2023 Tucson Gem Shows have come and gone, It’s never too early for me to start making new pieces for 2024. I usually get behind on other home projects and things as the Show approaches, so I have a little catching up to do on those items before I can start, and devote all my attention, to my new pieces. Show Season Approaches

December 2, 2022 by Tom

The only place I actually show my work, other than on line, is the Tucson Gem Show, so when the dates get closer I start putting things in order and preparing.
I’ve been working very hard all year on new pieces. I’ve worked all Summer on just two of them, using some new materials and techniques, which have worked out very well, and add another dimension to the pieces.
The 2023 TGMS Show will, once again, be at the Tucson Convention Center, Feb. 9th thru 12th. My booth will be in aisle 14, Booth #1401. I hope you will stop by my booth and check out my work. If you like something different, and one-of-a-kind, I’m sure I’ll have that special piece your looking for.
Thanks for visiting my site and I hope to see you at the Show.      Tom

My New Year’s Day

February 23, 2022 by Tom

Now that the Tucson Gem Show is over, my New Year begins. I never consider Jan. 1st as the start of my New Year, for me, it starts the day after the Gem Show ends!! Because I work so long, and hard on my pieces, and look forward all year long to Tucson, not much else gets my attention like preparing for the next Show. So Jan. 1st just means changing the year on my utility bills. Continue reading

So Far, So Good

December 29, 2021 by Tom

At least one good thing is happening amongst all the bad things going on lately; The Tucson Gem Show is back on in Feb.. I, as well as many others, have been looking forward to this for two years and I couldn’t be happier. There may be some restrictions, but that’s little consequence to pay for health safety.
They’ve moved me to booth # 1401. As long as they don’t move me “out the door” I’m fine with that. I hope you’ll stop by and say hello. With the Show cancellation last time, I’ve had a lot of time to work on my pieces, and I’m so happy with each one. I’ll be sad to see them go. My problem now is that I have so many pieces there’s no way I can fit them all in my booth. Continue reading
