Land of the Ice Bears.

I’ve taken a very nicely crystalized white Quartz Geode, from Morocco, and created a scene of a Polar Bear that’s just caught his dinner. I bought the figures on line and gave them a little more detail for this piece. I’ve added a glass magnifying lens to the front which creates a much bigger view of the action inside, and an excellent view of the Crystal formations resembling his icy environment.
I’ve used a strip of white (daylight) LED lights to illuminate the interior which adds a very nice feature when displayed in a darker area. The base is a hand cut and finished slice of a Hardwood called “Corymbia Opaca”, or Bloodwood, from Australia. The bottom is felted to protect furniture.
