This extraordinary Geode, from Brazil, has been extensively ground and polished, not only on its face, but over its total outside surface. This takes many hours, and a lot of work to accomplish. The inside is covered with a beautiful example of Druzy Quartz, sprinkled with small black specks of an unknown mineral. I chose a beautifully colored slab of Brazilian Agate, to cut and shape for the lid, and added many small veins over its surface. I used a wonderful Turquoise nugget to create the handle. I finished this piece off with a hand cut and finished slab of a beautiful Hardwood called Corymbia Opaca, from Australia, for its base. The bottom is covered with heavy felt to protect furniture.
