Well Of Wishes

Well Of Wishes

This beautiful figure, by Selina Fenech, was perfect for what I had in mind for this piece. Behind her I’ve added a nice specimen of Selenite, from Utah, which has the effect of ice, and as it melts, it creates a beautiful flow down the face of the wall and into the pool below.

With a coin in her hands, ready to make her wish and toss it into the pool, she has second thoughts, so she consults her friend, a giant, jewel eyed Toad for some more advice on her wish. This giant Toad, by Perth Pewter, is sitting on a nice slab of Brazilian Agate, from Brazil.

I’ve added this beautiful glass perfume bottle, bought on line, to actually give this piece some functionality. I’ve mounted it on a very detailed Pewter Vine sculpture, complete with jewels of its own. This Vine was done by James Lane Casey and reproduced by Medieval Productions. The bottle can be removed for filling and use as needed.

I bought these two hand made flower bouquets on line also, and added them to add a little more color. They are exquisite pieces in themselves.

This piece has battery operated lights beneath the pool and waterfall which, when lit, make this piece absolutely fabulous, especially in a darker area.

The base is a hand cut and finished slice of a Hardwood, Corymbia Opaca, or (Bloodwood), from Australia. The bottom is felted to protect furniture.
