A Song for You?

This figure is one of a few beautiful figures I purchased over the Winter. It was produced by Veronese Designs and has all the qualities I look for when choosing pieces for my work. The theme of the figure, the quality of the sculpting, reproduction and paint are all things I look closely at. If I’m going to put so much work into a piece, I want to use only the best materials and figures I can find. This piece meets all those requirements.
I’ve mounted her on a thick slice of Selenite, from Utah, which closely resembles “ice” to reflect her snowy environment, and I’ve hand cut and finished a slice of a Hardwood called Corymbia Opaca, from Australia, to match, and covered the bottom with heavy felt to protect furniture.
