The Stone Wizard
Lots of fine detail in this piece. I started with the blue and white circular piece which is from another sculpture by Australian Artist Selina Fenech. I mounted this on a slice of Brazilian Agate. I then added some small posts around the back, with small gold toned chain connecting them. The highly detailed, fine Pewter figure, is by Perth Pewter. With his Owl on his shoulder, his book under his arm, and a beautiful, faceted, Aurora lead glass sphere in his hand, he approaches the table in front of him. The table is a specimen of Labradorite, which has beautiful flashes of blue, green and silver. I’ve mounted a few small stones to its top; clear Quartz crystal, a Pyrite crystal, and some small, faceted lead glass crystals. The base is of an Australian hardwood, called Corymbia Opaca, or Bloodwood, the bottom of which is felted to protect furniture.
