I found this nice, medium sized, Brazilian Amethyst Geode at the Gem Show and knew I could do something with it. Its interior isn’t covered with the large, sharp points that are so familiar to these Geodes. Instead it’s got a nice coating of a soft purple druse. Its deep enough to hide your small treasures in, or just admire. I’ve used a slice of Brazilian Agate for the lid, and a small Australian Boulder Opal for the handle which produces a nice blue flash. The bottom is felted to protect furniture.
